After completing my medical education in India, I came to England in 1995 to work in the spinal centre. Since then I have worked in various hospitals in the country as a part of my basic surgical training.

I took out a substantiate appointment at the Duke of Cornwall spinal Centre in November 2000 starting as a staff grade doctor, then as an associate specialist since 2006. Following Dr Soopramaniem's retirement on the 31st of March 2009 I will be acting up as a locum consultant, taking over his patient caseload.

My areas of special interest include Spasticity and Pain Management, Ventilatory Management and Urodynamics. My other interests include photography and computers.

Role and Responsibilities Periodically attend web site meetings at the Unit. Advise on and implement development of the web site.

Interests I have a special interest in SCI having attended the unit following a C6/7 injury.

When did you come to the spinal unit, what did you do before? I was here in the early 90's. Prior to that I worked in worldwide support of capital equipment in the electronics industry.
